Do tutors have bright space access? Are we supposed to learn it?
Richard Powers
23:27
Beth, have you been assigned to a specific course?
Richard Powers
24:00
There are "embedded tutors." These are tutors that are enrolled in the teacher's specific class and help all term or for a few specific weeks.
Richard Powers
24:13
Beth, what college are you with?
Richard Powers
25:06
The way it usually works is the instructor requests a tutor be added to a class through the HelpDesk. Approval is sometimes required by the Department, depending on the college.
Richard Powers
25:55
That said, it's a good idea for tutors to take the Brightspace training because you may be Zooming and sharing screens with students, who have questions about their course.
Richard Powers
26:40
Being familiar with Brightspace can help tutors understand the questions. You will probably be working 99% with helping the students with tasks and not be expected to train them in Brightspace.
Richard Powers
26:48
Does that make sense, Beth?

A lot to digest.
Richard Powers

Record to Cloud is excellent. You get a dedicated Link that is easy to send and easy to put in a Brightspace classroom. When students click on it, the cloud gives it a really professional appearance.
Richard Powers
51:00
Recording on your computer is automatic when you choose this, and then after you leave the meeting, the recording will convert. It takes time depending on the length and then puts it into a Zoom folder on your computer. You then open the folder, find the biggest file and then rename it so you can find it again clearly.
Richard Powers
51:41
That is why the Cloud is so helpful. You can find it later so easily from your Zoom account and then zap the link to whoever would like it for professional appearance and viewing later.
Richard Powers
52:24
Recording yourself giving a lecture or short tutorials and putting these links in Brightspace is also a good and easy way to create content without having to be live with your class on Zoom.
Beth Moss Chicago
52:42

I think for the one tap, that will only work if you are accessing meeting from smartphone. But if you are calling in you can dial that number and then enter meeting id through keypad
Richard Powers
01:04:56
Mark, can you find the link here under Mobile. I think it's the company domain issue you are having, though. I am emailing someone for help on this one.
